A new survey by found nearly half of Gen Z workers believe they are getting better career information from artificial intelligence and social media than their managers.
Gen Z is the fastest growing employee demographic, bringing fresh perspectives, innovation, and enthusiasm to the workplace. But we want more from our employers than just money, like opportunities to learn and grow.
62% of Gen Z in the survey, conducted by Workplace Intelligence and INTOO, said they feel on their own when it comes to climbing the ladder because their managers are too busy to talk about career development.
Half of them feel their employer cares more about productivity than their growth and well being. - and their mental health is suffering as a result.
With better learning and mentorship opportunities, 97% of Gen Zers said their job satisfaction and motiva
tion at work would increase – and they would feel more connected and loyal to the company
But if employers don’t step up their game and provide Gen Z with the support to help us thrive, they risk losing the next generation of the workforce?
