Should you cancel your Netflix account?
Netflix cracked down on password sharing, recently increased their prices, and are canceling fan-favorite shows. Is Netflix still worth it?
The once affordable pioneer of streaming service is making changes that have customers asking why? And saying bye!
Earlier this year, Netflix cracked down on password sharing so now if you live apart from the primary account holder, like say in a college dorm, you would have to pay an extra $7.99 a month.
Netflix also recently raised its premium plan to 22.99 which lets you stream ad free on 4 devices at once, plus once extra member that doesn’t live with you
And Netflix went on a canceling spree, cutting several shows including fan favorites like Shadow and Bone and Anne with an E. Angry fans signed petitions and some even took out billboards in Times Square hoping to save their favorite shows, to no avail.
Let's be honest there's a lot of streaming content to choose from, [insert graphics from each streaming service behind me] from Hulu to Max and Apple TV the streaming landscape is stacked.
But Netflix does make hits like Stranger Things, Squid Game and Bridgerton, which keep viewers coming back.
And while there’s a revolt on social media, Netflix said it still added 9 million new subscribers since the password crackdown started this summer.
So what’s your gut saying, … is Netflix still worth it? Or are you looking for other ways to get your streaming fix.
