Ever feel like your parents are in the dark about your lingo? A recent Preply survey unveiled – only 2% of parents claim to be slang-savvy. Time to decode the language that has them scratching their heads.
First, 'sus,' short for suspicious, is the top slang turn of 2023, thanks to Among Us. 62% of teens use it to call out shady behavior.
Now, 'bet' and 'yeet' take the stage. 59% of parents caught 'bet' for agreement, while 57% heard 'yeet' for something they find worthless.
